When my partner and I decided that we would like children, I thought it would be a good idea if I was clued up about all the important facts regarding conception, pregnancy, child birth and caring for a baby.
So I got straight on the Internet to find information, and I found loads. But . . . It was all angled towards the mothers point of view. Its obvious the reasons why, as its the mother who carries the baby, and who will have to go though the pain/joy of child birth.
However us Dads are a big part of it all, and I know I for one wished there was a site that catered for information from a Dads point of views.
Covering all the important aspects, from conception right though to teenage years.
A way of Dads to keep in contact with each other and to make new friends with kids.
To provide support for the concerns of Dads, or to help Dads that are the sole carer of a child.
I hope that this web site will help achieve some of these things.
I wanted the site to be fun, having due date calenders, diaries, forums and polls.
But also to be informative, with information and help for any concerns we might have.
As I am but one person and by no means have all the answers (or I would not have been looking for, or creating a site like this) I wanted this to be something we all contribute too.
